2002 ML 320

I found your website because I am stuck with a brand new 2002 ML-320 Lemon and the company I leased it from, Von Hausen Motors of Sacramento contacted Mercedes Benz of North America, and after reviewing my file, they would NOT buy the car back, even though it has been in the shop 5 times for the same problem and three for a different problem which qualifies as a Lemon under the Lemon Law of California. I have lost time from work, clients, and money having to take this car into the shop, wait to sign up for a loaner, then the same bringing it back.
I am sure of one thing, neither I or anyone in my family or close to me will EVER own a Mercedes Benz again, after the experience they have seen me go through. Mercedes Benz is not a good car and the company is not a good one to work with. This has been the worst experience of my life and although this was my third Mercedes it is my LAST. I would have a HONDA over a Mercedes anytime. If you are considering a Mercedes, please make sure you read all the problems with these cars and with the company and those who run it.

  G'Day,
I Starting snooping around on the internet pre meeting with my lawer this Monday morning regarding my lemon ML 320 2002. (its saturday about 1.10am at present). Ive got to say, after 26 months of ownership, 23 warrantee repairs and about 30 trips back and forth to the work shop, Im about ready to rip apart the most senior person I can find in Daimler-Chrysler Australia. This is by far the worst motor car Ive owned in my 20 years of driving and I cant get out of it fast enough. I have told the dealer and DC that Im going legal on them for either termination of my contract, and or complete replacement with a brand new ML350 (which I will sell immediately). Can you offer any words of wisdom or suggest some kind of strategy with trading out of this lemon with Daimler-Chrysler or help with some precedent set with any legal challanges against them for these crappy cars?

After 19 trips to the dealer and a staunchly defended lawsuit, I lost in Court!! Seems that while M/B puts "Electrical Fault" on the invoice under the section "Cause" that means nothing!! this car was in the shop for 47 days during the first 10 months of ownership. Now It has the oil light coming on and they are doing a consumption test.....! what a piece of crap. numerous sensors have been replaced, trip computers, wiring harnesses, Not one but two Radiators, Window switches and motors, etc. the best part of the court case was when the Lawyer for M/B stated that I do not have to worry about these problems once I am out of warranty as they will still be covered sice they were pre existing!! I Cannot wait to try that line on the service manager when that day comes!! My car is going to look great covered in Lemon stickers going down the road!!!!
